“Situated at one of the most magical locations of any project we’ve worked on, this apartment occupies half a floor of a building that elegantly hugs the coastline. It feels as though you could dive straight from the balcony into Tamarama`s crystalline waters.”
Why would you want to jump into the view outside when the inside is just so lovely? Simple modern luxury never looked so good. By Sydney interior designers Decus.

The walls, lights, sofa, tables just complement each other. If you want to flaunt your creative side you can add up a little twist with a contrasting recliner or a decent sofa and that too would be in your budget, if you played your cards right. If the previous beach house was about washed out sea glass hues then this Manly Beach apartment by Brett Mickan Interior Design is all about the bright play of sea blues and greens. Bold with a hint of retro beach shack kitsch, it’s high holiday style with a touch of fun.
A soft palette of sand and stone, washed out pastels and white, beautiful white. Clean lines and bespoke cabinetry. Whitewashed brick, blonde timbers, ethnic touches and a relaxed elegance. Beach side living at its stylish best. Avoca Beach house by one of my favourite interior designers Karen Akers. Pinch me. It’s a dream.
P.S. So you think this place couldn’t be more perfect? Well it can. You can rent it for holidays! You can email for more information here.
A beautiful multilevel loft in a converted workshop in the heart of Montmartre. Large windows overlook the courtyard garden while allowing light to stream into the space. White walls play off old oak floors and the level changes accommodate bedroom, living and kitchen dining areas. The industrial look of the old building is retained but modernised. This project was realised in 2008 and the photos appear to show its early stage occupation, a little stark, a little empty, missing the personal touches. I would love to see it 7 years on as its owners have settled in and imprinted their lives on its old walls. Loft à Montmartre by Delphine Martin-Michaud of 2DESIGN.

I was so excited when Romy Dankner of HOMEROOM Studio emailed with her latest project. The contemporary home features clean lines, beautiful finishes (that stone in the kitchen… swoon) and bright pops of colour in an otherwise neutral palette. I love Romy’s use of unusual pendant lighting in the bathrooms and the bone inlay pieces that are a signature of her work. Check out her Instragram too to keep up with her latest designs and finds.
