So here’s the premise. You fall in love with a home in a magazine and want to buy it all. Right now. Lock, stock and barrel. Or you’re at an open for inspection and take a liking to the sofa or the vase or that print. Now you just can’t take it with you. Or can you? The Cross Street Project by C+M Studio allows you to buy into that impulse. You can buy the apartment empty, you can buy it all or you can shop the amazing objects that fill the space. Open for 3 weeks only from October 25 the apartment is in Bronte, Sydney but you can find all the details here.
“Another? Really? What on earth are you doing Jo?” I know, I know but I would have loved to have this room as a child. So cute. So stylish. I would have loved messing it up. By Twofold LA.
A masculine, mid century riff with layers of texture and a metallic accent or two. Easy, stylish living by Jenn Pablo and Olivia Korenberg of interiors and events firm Twofold LA.
Yes! Christmas is fast approaching. No it doesn’t matter how much you close your eyes and block your ears with your fingers and sing “lalalalalala I can’t hear you Jo.” I must admit I was a bit like that myself when this month’s email arrived from Inside Out magazine’s managing editor Lee Tran Lam. Not quite the official December Christmas issue (whew!), the November issue, out Thursday, is packed with Christmas inspiration for those who prefer to confront the Holiday beast head on and not go into denial like a certain blogger. Thankfully Lee Tran decided to share this wonderful house.
… I thought I’d send you one of the ‘interior candy’ homes in the mag that doesn’t necessarily have a Christmas link – although it is incredibly summery and looks ideal for lounging about on warm days with a cool ginger beer nearby. It’s also our first ever unofficial submission to your pet on furniture collection, which I’m excited about!
So the home belongs to Belinda Everingham, who runs Bondi Wash (a company that, unsurprisingly, like her home, is inspired by the natural surrounds). It’s very serene and clean (and in fact, I get a big dose of I-should-be-more-tidier guilts just looking at how immaculate this house is). And if it all seems too elegant to be true, well, it truly is the real deal, and readers can step inside the residence to see it for themselves! Thanks to Zanui people have a chance to tour the home with our editor Claire Bradley and stylist Jason Grant on November 26. Readers can get tickets from Moshtix as of Thursday.
(The stylist on the story is Jason Grant and the photographer is Lauren Bamford.)
Don’t worry if you can’t pick up a copy on Thursday. You can also download it digitally via Zinio, Google Play, Apple Newsstand and Nook
Over the past few weeks I have been dipping in and out of the portfolio of Blakes London for kitchen inspiration. Today I’m back again with a streamlined design that mixes old and new, light and dark all with accents of on trend brass and a touch of retro.
