I turn my back on real estate stalking for a week and BAM new listings are popping up everywhere. Still you have to call me picky particular, choosy and hard to please. I’m fussy when it comes to which houses make it on to the blog. Not quite right, bad photos, I need more photos please! House is amazing furniture is deplorable. Can’t quite put my finger on it listings with something that has me nodding “yes”. This week’s finds include a couple of Sydney houses from the 1840s, A Balmain home with amazing Sydney Harbour Bridge views, a house that has been “Hamptonised” (a little like sanitised?) and a rambling boho stone 1950s house called “The Castle”. All via realestate.com.au.

There is a softness, an almost like velvet, to photographer David Woolley‘s work. Love the composition, the angles the way he works with light, the diversity of his portfolio. Inspiring.

My new bathroom plans are gathering momentum. I find myself still gathering images in my inspiration file. Can’t stop. Bath or shower or both? Double sinks for the morning rush? Tiled to the ceiling or a softer look with lots of the old walls on show? Heated flooring or lovely old boards?

We have actually featured this project before (here). It’s a bar by Lauren Geremia but I just had to show this ceiling and light again. Such a wonderful flight of fantasy. Perfect for a child’s room. Perfect for any room that needs a touch of whimsy.

Will you forgive me today if I don’t wax lyrical about these two homes by San Francisco based Geremia. My computer is having a tantrum and I’m afraid I may not be able to finsih this post. I don’t have to heap on the hyperbole because these rooms speak for themselves. Wonderful!
