How cool are the offices of Penson, a London based firm of architects, interior designers and engineers! White, bright with just a touch of the bizarre. That’s Regina Phalange, their mascot. Don’t ask me why!

Brisbane based interior design firm Wrightson Stewart is on a roll this year. Amazing work and amazing recognition for their innovative, contemporary, masculine designs. Now they have been shortlisted in four categories at the Interior Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) for 2013,  Event Design, Workplace Under 1000m2 (both can be seen here), Single Residential and  Designer of the Year Award (first time a Queensland firm has been shortlisted for the big gong). It’s easy to see why. Here is the warehouse apartment that has been garnering all the attention. So cool, so urban, with a minimal colour palette and clean lines with just a riff of retro.
