French beach house

Posted on Thu, 27 Jan 2022 by midcenturyjo

From the American countryside we are now off to the French seaside at Saint-Jean-de-Luz. This family vacation house by Paris-based Sophie de L’Epine epitomises the laid back sophistication of the French beach style. So evocative of warm breezes, the smell of salt in the air and the hum of insects. There is sand on the floor, towels draped on stylish yet hard working furniture and the promise of an endless, carefree summer.

Legacy architecture. I really like that idea. Mission Statement by Sydney-based Studio Kate.
