I think by now you would know that I have a thing for beautifully renovated Victorian era architecture. I go weak at the knees for a stunning terrace house with contemporary yet sympathetic interiors. If the lower floor has exposed Sydney sandstone walls, light streaming in and a pool then I’m a goner. I’m real estate strolling scrolling in the Sydney suburb of Paddington in a stunning home with interiors by Madeleine Blanchfield Architects. If the bank manager would just lend me the millions required I’d move straight in. I wonder if the owner would leave the Leila Jeffreys’ bird photographs behind? Link here while it lasts.

Time to escape the everyday. Time for another virtual getaway. We’re headed to Montauk, New York,  a village at the east end of the Long Island peninsula but we’re not headed to a home full of  Hamptons’ clichés. No our getaway is a cool surf-inspired bungalow where mid century meets boho. Light, bright and perfect for up to 8 guests. I’m filing those exterior wall slats in my inspiration folder. I’m still in London and I’m still lamenting the fact that I can’t afford anything at all but a girl can still live vicariously through real estate listings. I must say that I could move straight into this split level apartment in an old print works factory in East Central London between Old Street and Clerkenwell.
