There is something about original detail in period homes (especially in the U.K.) that gets me every time. There is nothing really to write home about with respect to the decor in this home, except maybe the collection of kitchenware, but I mostly wanted to share this home because of the vestibule foyer. LOOK AT THE DETAIL! AND THE SIZE! OH, and the kitchen sink. XOXO Via jj Locations.

It’s like I always say. If you have to drag yourself into work on a weekend it helps if it’s somewhere stylish like this London office by French design firm Festen. Talk about mid century chair porn!

You may remember this contemporary barn Jo featured a few months ago by Atlanta-based firm D. Stanley Dixon Architect, Inc.. I was poking around Stan’s portfolio the other day and was mesmerized by many more of his projects so I thought I would share some that I really love. This is all soooo beautiful – classic architecture with an understated, simple aesthetic with subtle modern influences.

I continue to have a soft spot for lofts and this one with classic and feminine touches mixed with vintage industrial pieces make this so perfectly eclectic. And how freaking brilliant – a bank of Ikea cabinets installed console-style with an antique cupboard mixed in. Saving that one in my inspiration folder! A historical building with soaring windows. Light flooding in to an apartment with exposed brick, reclaimed oak floors and marble. What a wonderful canvas to work with. 60 White Street, a model (display) apartment in New York’s TriBeCa area by interior designer Magdalena Keck.
