When you would expect someone decorating a converted lofty school house to go the industrial route but instead they go with a classic Scandinavian/shabby chic look. Kudos to the owners of this home in Battersea, London for going against the grain on this one, and for the very impressive collection of antiques. And for the cute dog. This is really beautiful. Available as a location home through Shoot Factory.

In my backyard is a detached garage. It is tilting to one side and is a dumping ground for all sorts of crap. And we can’t even fit our car in it. I would give ANYTHING to turn it into something this incredible. This backyard writer’s studio was created from the conversion of a 100 sq ft garage. WHOA. As much as I love dark colours, this home is really beautiful in white and pretty pastels. Without a doubt it is easy on the eye and must be so relaxing to come home to after a long day. ++Scandinavian cool++. Design: Laura Melling and Portico Design Group, photos: WTFU.

One more project by Bryan Wark because I love the dining space above (those chairs!!!) and if I ever had doubts about painting floors white they have since vanished.

I can’t stop staring at these photos!!! Pastel colour palette, OTT brass lighting, leopard print, photographic art, marble, graphic cement tile, faux fur, pink carpet…this is all of my favourite things packed into one apartment and it is SO GORGEOUS!!
