A unique space for the creative and curious in Bristol, England The Forge provides the perfect space for events and gatherings, workshops and talks. Oh my! The exposed brick, those windows, the cast iron stair case, the historic exterior and the surrounding streets.

I sound a bit like a bit broken record as week after week I whinge and whine about heading off to work on a weekend. But imagine if you worked for perfumer Jo Malone… in her global headquarters in a central London Regency townhouse… designed by Rose Uniacke. Sigh. I think I would die from a sensory overdose of beauty.

Nestled in a subtropical garden is the small office space of Brisbane-based styling team Indigo Jungle designed by local architects Marc&Co. Like a piece of origami tossed aside it is the ultimate backyard shack. Enter through its narrow door and what opens before you is not a small, pokey room but a light filled creative space with framed views of its suburban “jungle”. My dream design atelier. Of course the interior design is by its resident stylists.

It’s like I say week after week. If you have to drag your sorry self into work on a Saturday then it certainly helps if it’s somewhere stylish. No problems if I worked in Melbourne-based Breathe Architecture‘s own offices. Just park my bicycle and head on up.

If I was an employee at Blush Flowers in the Auckland, New Zealand suburb of Parnell I don’t think I would be actually working. No, technically I’d be floating on a cloud of perfumed beauty. That’s why there is no one in shot in the shop. They are floating high, just out of sight, above the photographer’s head. The design is by owner and creative director Kelly Karam with key pieces by Douglas and Bec.
