It’s like I say week in week out. If you have to drag yourself into work on a weekend it helps if it’s somewhere stylish and there’s nowhere more stylish than a designer’s own offices. MED Design Office by Meredith Ellis.

GACHOT blends timeless craftsmanship with modern technology, creating designs marked by elegance, simplicity, and meticulous detail. The Sutton Place Residence, the Gachot family’s uptown apartment, exemplifies this approach. Contemporary elements—bold art and sculptural furniture—complement the classic Pre-War architecture. The result is a sophisticated space that feels both fresh and rooted in tradition. Balancing warmth with modernity, GACHOT’s design honors the building’s historic charm while meeting the functional needs of everyday life.

Venice Compound by Electric Bowery is a vibrant, multi-home oasis in Venice, California. Designed for multigenerational living, four unique homes are tied together by lush gardens and a central courtyard, encouraging connection and independence. Drawing inspiration from Venice’s early Craftsman cottages, the design is playful, layered and light-filled. The main residence, Tutto House, bursts with bold colour, rich textures and joyful details from chartreuse dining walls to plum-red kitchen cabinetry. A guest house and tree house each offer their own character, blending comfort and craftsmanship. The Studio, a calm, creative hideaway, rounds out the compound. The landscape, complete with citrus trees, bamboo and flowering vines, acts as a lush, ever-changing backdrop to a home that celebrates beauty, individuality and everyday rituals.

This 18th century duplex in Saint-Germain-des-Prés is the epitome of Paris style and elegance, and the exquisite attention to detail of their interiors. A collaboration between Claude Cartier Studio and Simon Pesin, this beautiful space is a mix of traditional architecture and modern furnishings….indeed a confluence of the arts.
