I love this apartment

This is the apartment of Christopher Coleman. Graphic, layered, lush and quirky. Great ideas for a small space. Black has never looked so good. That striped shelving unit is a Lack bookcase and some coloured tape! And what about those metal ball curtains.
NYSD is a great source of beautiful images of the homes of NY designers and social doyennes. If you have the time their house archives are amazing. Oh how the other half lives.

I MUST gush about his apartment. OMG!!! This place is so me – all the black walls are making me drool. His art is HOT – my fav is that piece on the left of the lack shelf. LOVE THAT SHELF – what a brilliant idea. Love that he has artwork leaning on the floor. If I could get away with a ball curtain, I’d have (at least) one too. This is so modern and edgy….I crave modern and edgy. Ok – gotta go redesign my whole house 😉

The tape bookcase is brilliant. I love DIY stuff that I know I could actually DIY. I’ve been trying to find something to go near our front door where we could store shoes, the dog’s outside stuff (leash, dog bags), etc. and something like this might work.
