WINKS – weekend links. Here we list what has come in during the week, things we think you’ll like to see. If you’d like to see your blog or website featured email us and if we think it fits with our readers we’ll link you.

    • Bronwyn missed our blog roll cutoff but don’t miss her great blog Smoke and Ochre full of decor, design inspiration, art and fashion from Johannesburg. Great eye candy!
    • Sarah has just started a new blog Bungalow in Bloom. She says it’s a little bare but we see great potential. Welcome to the blogopshere Sarah!
    • Jung Lee aka Max sent us a link to a contest he is running on his site bedzine. Top commenter for the month wins a memory foam bed in a box.
    • Melissa who clued us in to Kitchen + Bath Business a few weeks ago emailed to let us know about their new blog K+BB green which may prove a good source for green kitchen and bathroom design.
    • Susan Serra kitchen designer and blogger sent us this release, “This innovative cabinetry, via The Kitchen Designer is carried by Susan Serra, CKD, blog author and Certified Kitchen Designer and produced by Draper DBS in Pennsylvania. The philosophy of Draper DBS is to gleefully produce whatever is in the imagination of their authorized resellers, their network of fantastic designers of cabinetry. Draper DBS likes to create fantasy out of real wood.”
    • Kirsty from Melbourne sent me a link to her favourite Swedish blog Roomservice. I love it too Kirsty!

OK enough for this weekend. Don’t forget to email those interesting links in!

Jed Johnson

Jed Johnson Associates is a highly recognized interior design firm who’s work has been published in countless design magazines and books. Their portfolio is stunning, and includes mostly traditional designs with impeccable attention to detail. I love how artwork plays an important role in their designs. (It seems designer Mark Cutler fancies their work as well).

I want to live here

Luxurious finishes, classic furniture, layers of texture and that copse of birch trees. I want to live in this Toorak, Melbourne house designed by David Hicks. It takes my breath away.

The other David Hicks

Not to be mistaken with the guru of style in the 60s, 70s and 80s the other David Hicks is a Melbourne based designer of equally luxurious spaces. The monochromatic palette, iconic furniture and the finest finishes add an elegance to these beautiful spaces. His boutique size practice focuses on his chosen clientele and the quality of the designs has seen his rooms featured in leading shelter magazines and books around the world. Masterful!

Sylvie Becquet

Sylvie Becquet is another photographer I discovered in my internet travels. The photos on her website have such a wonderful simplicity to them, which draws your attention to the details of the objects featured and the quality of lighting in each photo.
