Dave Henderson

I’m on a roll this week with amazing photographers. I’ve always been attracted to how a photographer can take a good room and make it great and then transform a great space into something sublime. Loving Dave Henderson’s portfolio particularly the way he frames a photo and the interesting angles he uses. These are from his inside places selection but please don’t miss his outside places and his personal work. The flowers! OMG!

Bathrooms from Greentea Design

Posted on Wed, 16 Jul 2008 by KiM

I have 2 bathrooms to completely renovate in my home eventually (kitchen is first on the list), so when we received an email from one of our sponsors, Greentea Design, about their new bathroom section on their website I was so excited. “Exciting news from Greentea Design. Customers are showing increased interest in our unique vanities so we have responded by launching a new Bathroom Furniture Section. It features beautiful antique pieces and exclusive Asian inspired contemporary designs, all in different settings. New suites have also been added, helping customers to “put the whole look together” with vanities, sinks, mirrors and shelving. The intrepid (and saucy) Design Guru Gib Dreffel has also written an article with many entertaining tips on Bathroom Design.” I love it all!

Martyn Thompson

There’s a moodiness to the photos of Martyn Thompson. Beautiful painterly light and rich autumnal colour palette make them almost enigmatic. Yes that’s what it is. His camera is like a paint brush. Internationally acclaimed Australian born Thompson’s work ranges from editorial features in major magazines like British Vogue, House & Garden, Gourmet, Vogue Living Australia to advertising campaigns for Ralph Lauren and Hermes. In fact it was in Vogue Living Australia that I saw his beautiful floral shots. You can find them in his still life portfolio. These images are from his rep’s site as his own is currently being updated.

Scott Waterman

Scott Waterman is an artist, a talented decorative painter and I’d like to add an incredible interior designer once I saw photos of his home. His decorative painting began with trompe l’oeil murals and the restoration of historic buildings. Amazing talent (click for larger images)…

His former home in San Francisco was featured in several shelter magazines and was absolutely breathtaking – so serene, romantic, captivating and filled with natural beauty. The creativity in these spaces is fascinating.

Scott has alot of ideas for his house and someday hopes to move his studio out of it, but in the meantime it is fantastic – the white makes his stunning and colourful artwork just come to life. Talk about multi-talented!! Thank you Scott for introducing us to your creative world.

Eric Staudenmaier

Stunning photos today from the portfolio of photographer Eric Staudenmaier. Specialising in architectural and interior photography Eric is able to capture a designer’s intentions with a space and through his lens take you into a room or place you on the sidewalk staring longingly at the building before you. His architectural folio is great but don’t miss his personal work as well. I just had to include some of his garden shots. Check out the rest on his website. Your thumb will be turning green just looking at them.
