Amie Weitzman

It’s been a long time since we’ve shared the works of New York interior designer Amie Weitzman, so I thought it was time to delve into her world again. It’s all about classic and contemporary style, particularly with furnishings and architecture, with a modern take on it, using bold artwork, colours and patterns. The result is chic and sophisticated.

The children’s rooms Amie has designed are SO stylish and not overly childish (hence long-lasting) that I wanted to make specific mention of them. Really cute!

I absolutely LOVE how the bookcase is the focus of that first room. The muted chairs really help to highlight the fun and playfulness of all the colorful books.

Stunning in every way!
Loving the lilac curtains in the kid's room.

So elegant and modern. It's a tailored look that is so owner friendly. And great use of colour. Love.

Love the kids room! i am redoing a client's children bedroom, transitioning from baby to toddler's room and i love these clean modern designs.
I always have fun doing kid's room, one can be so creative with shapes and colors

I agreed. Sometimes within a span of 5-8 years we have to redo the kids' room when they are much older. But with Amie's design we do not need to. It is stylish and lasting. I really like the bookshelf and the use of space and colours. Making every corner so sophisticated.

Whoa. I'm a big fan of the slipper chair + danish brigade, (I've happily turned out two apartments in original items playing to Ratpackish olive/orange stylings) but I've never seen it updated. Truly updated. Sure, you see the pieces fit in with modern touches, or a whole 'new' retro thing gone horribly wrong — but this designer has a midas touch.

You haven't run any old Home & Garden past us lately (as if most of us don't collect them!) but this makes up for it. This is what H&G looks like in… 2040. Well, let's face it, when you play it safe, you'll *always* be behind the times!

Marvelous work with nooks & windows, and the occasional Hollywood touch is perfect. You find the most wonderful people to highlight! Thank you.

Hi. First of all I should say thank you for webside, I started visiting it quite often now and like it more and more as I always find something really interesting. I love the the kitchen pictures, especially the second one: There is so much space, it is full of light and the chaires are simply sweet!
All the best,
Sara
