WINKS – weekend links. Here we list what has come in during the week, things we’ve found and things we think you’ll want to see. If you’d like to see your blog or website featured email us and if we think it fits with our readers we’ll link you. So what’s in this week?

  • Designers Rally and Kathy Dupps live, work and create their original handmade textiles in Bali, Indonesia. Katherine Rally Textiles, antique techniques and a modern touch. Their bold, beautiful batik textiles are available as pillow covers, napkins, tablecloths and fabric by the yard.

  •  How can a planter cause so much lust? I must, must, must get my hands on these pots by Atelier Vierkant.  Simply stunning.

  • Energy efficient lighting is a must but why is it so ugly? Why can’t we do our bit for the environment but still be stylish? Plumen may just be the answer… if you live in a country with a 230v system. (The website will tell you if you don’t.)

  • A very Australian vibe for these stools. Iconic bushranger Ned Kelly’s helmet and bushies sitting around the fire billy tea in hand. Rough and natural timber or for a quirky contrast plastic moulded from the timber form. The Ned Stool by Darcy Clarke.

Courtney says:

Oh, saw those Ned stools by Darcy Clarke at SiD in Melbourne in August. They are fabulous, beautifully crafted pieces. So glad to see them here on DTI!
Loving the batik textiles too.
