The white house

It’s been a long time since we’ve featured the work of interior designer Sera Hersham-Loftus (way back here and here). Sera’s designs are unlike those of any other designer I have ever come across. She is the queen of the boudoir look – seductive, glam, romantic and best of all, completely over-the-top. The following is a home in her portfolio she has dubbed The White House and I fell in love with it. It’s a bit more subdued than her typical designs and far more realistic and achievable. (Tomorrow, more spaces by Sera…but darker and brighter)

Ottawa alternagrrrl says:

Holy cow! If this is subdued then I look forward to the rest of her work. Much of what I see is very beautiful, and certainly not run of the mill or predictable. Hallmarks of good design. But, similar to the comments above, for me this room evokes those things that are pretty in the store but you don`t know how you would make it work at your house……

Eva says:

stunningly beautiful, light, elegant, awesome house!

Tom says:

Butterflies invaded my shabby chic mansion and I don't know what to do!

polish chic said it perfectly!

"it's like living in a cupcake. cute, but definitely not pour moi. and the tv thing is uggg-lee!"

Tom says:

I take out the "cute" part it's not cute it has way too much frosting!

Bev65 says:

too many frigging pillows

La Gitana says:

I cannot get over how heavenly….

Tootsi says:

Quite lovely. Clark Gable wouldn't hate it.

Fabulous. I could move right in. Love all the white and that metal staircase is 2die4 as well as the sunroom. Nice mirrors and overdoors, too.

Maria says:

The designs are absolutely breathtaking. Thanks for sharing!

haysged says:

I like your design, but I hate white color so much… red is what I need.
