I love the portfolio of Spanish designer Isabel López-Quesada. Love. I needed inspiration to start the week. I knew I would find it on her website. Rustic yet elegant. Casual and real but steeped with history and a sense of place. Here a dream house in Biarritz, France.
This is such a beautiful home…I don't think beautiful covers it~I would love to live in such a place
Just gorgeous! 🙂
Some of the rooms are just gorgeous!! But please, those elephant tusks… NONONOOOO!
The rest is fabulous.
Give me Spanish over Scandinavian any day! Gorgeous and yes Wee I agree with you the tusks and a NOOOOO!
Now I didn't read them as elephant tusks because of their shape and the notch on the bottom end. I saw them as rib bones from a large animal like whale ribs. Hopefully a whale that washed up naturally on a beach not one from hunting from times gone by 🙂
Oh so beautiful, and such an inspiration for Perth's hot and dry climate. Please let's have more of this relaxed Mediterranean fabulousness. The Scandi stuff is okay, but I can't really relate to it. Biarritz I can!
Lovely! What a dream 🙂
I'm with Jo – I'm pretty sure those are whale ribs. There's no taper to them, and you can see the posterior articulation to the spine at the point where they're attached to the base. Besides, I think it would be unlikely for a designer to display tusks in this day and age.
I love Isabel López-Quesada, she's always so inspiring. In this case, I think, as far as I remember, this is her own house in the País Vasco
