Predominantly muted colour palettes help set the tone of sophisticated urban living. Easy elegance with an emphasis on texture and simple layering. It’s all about a 21st century twist on a classic mid century riff. Neal Beckstedt, New York based architectural and interior design studio. Cool New York pads!

those rooms are amazing! I wish they were in my apartment…
the best one I think is the second last. I love the colors and especially this light green chair!

These are great images. I love the interior. Some of the furniture isn't my fav. but it all works together – colours, furniture, textures!
Love the rugs in the first couple of images.
Thanks for the inspiration!

he sure loves legged furniture! I can't deny the stools are kind of fun =)

I can't stop looking at the stainless stell border in the kitchen island, my favorite room of them all…

Odd – the last photo is of the weekend home of architect and interior designer S. Russell Groves who doesn't name Neal Beckstedt as a collaborator and vice versa…

I really like these soft colours and layered textures. Great find!

Desire to Inspire says:

Neal Beckstedt was Design and Studio Director at S. Russell Groves for a number of years so that's most likely why that image appears in his portfolio.

Kelly says:

I like the lilac room, but on the whole it's a bit too blah and feels forced. But I am more bohemian in taste so different strokes I guess!

Tina says:

That ks a lot of classics in one room…but OMG it works!
