Contemporary architecture from Croatia. Family run firm DAR612 create family homes. From concept to completion the approach is holistic and the resulting homes all about shared space. Today I am featuring two apartment renovations that put the client, families, in the centre of the design. The family home is a stage for the rituals of everyday life, to share the precious times without being “precious” or over conceived. Bright, liveable, fun and friendly. A great canvas for the family’s personality. Although I’m concentrating on interiors today (this is an interiors blog remember) don’t miss their new build family homes for more inspiration.

Love the kitchen detail with books!

Hi, what a great place, love the interior!!!

love the books!

Wow – interesting book storage. I'd just hate to have to get one from the bottom though.

I love the first home, so many features to soak up. I particularly love the artwork in the living room, gorgeous!

Ha, I completely agree with Jordana

The metallic paint is breath taking! What an interesting alternative to the traditional wainscoting!

Love,

I definitely love the interior! The solid pieces are great. the read chair, the mahogany floors and every lil details on the bedroom.

I like the look of the books piled under the island bench but you'd probably break something trying to get to the things. Hopefully, you don't feel like reading…ever
