Eclectic in Notting Hill

I recently got my hands on another property from London estate agents Domus Nova, this one is eclectic and modern and gorgeous. It’s a 5 bedroom, 5 story home in Notting Hill that was refurbished by De Matos Ryan Architects and the interior was designed by Carden Cunietti. The clients are North American; Carden Cunietti were asked to help design their large family house using elements of mid-century furniture and modern elements. Take a look at the lower ground floor which best typifies this by the concrete floors and selection of pieces using designs by Charlotte Perriand. In terms of the architecture, De Matos Ryan added a double height void which links the upper and lower ground living spaces. The house opens up to the garden, where a cast concrete counter blurs the boundary between the indoor and outdoor spaces. I love the funky vibe of this home – very cool furnishings and I am always a fan of lots of graphic artwork and piles of books.

It's one cool piece of furniture after another in home. Impressive art collection as well!

Wow. Just wow. That coffee table is to die for.

Andrea says:

So lovely and so my style, at least couple of photos :))

What is that black board kind of a thing in the living room. Is it some king of unfinished work?

Thanks for all the fantastic feedback, we agree it's such a beautiful property. Without doubt, one of our favourite properties at Domus Nova. Though they may look like carpet, the floors are definitely concrete – brilliant combination with the natural wood stairs.

brilliant ! and not one single standard eames / bertoia / whatever piece !

love the glass coffee table!

and it IS concrete – look how glossy it is near the windows under daylight ..

Drooling over that painting over the fireplace. Any idea where that came from?

I like most of it, not everything though 🙂

Of course you'd only find such vast open living spaces in London in Notting Hill 😉
