Stalking North Adelaide

Posted on Wed, 27 Feb 2013 by midcenturyjo

This traditional stone house in Adelaide is full of surprises. The first hint might just be the large, contemporary art pieces in the entry. Perhaps the modern, sculptural furniture in its more traditional rooms. Its sleek kitchen and family room extension leading to the outdoor entertaining and pool are not quite you would expect from its prim and proper stone facade. I’m real estate stalking in North Adelaide, South Australia. As an art lover I would happily move in. Link here while it lasts.

Wow! What a beauty. Wonder if the owner is an architect? I absolutely love the indoor/outdoor relationship of spaces and how the outdoors was really designed as an extension of the living space. Good stuff – thanks for sharing!

ut amazes me how someone with means can get it just so wrong. everything is just off. i understand that one would want to show off artwork but that is not the only thing in these rooms. cohesion is key in any environment and to have such a beautiful house done out so badly is sad. did like the kitchen and surrounding area. you have such gorgeuos pieces of furniture but the placement is not right.

This house was designed me and my team at Dimitty Andersen Architects! Nexus Designs from Melbourne worked on interiors and Taylor Cullity Lethlean worked on the landscape. It is truly a wonderful project and can be seen on our website dimitty.com. The architecture manages to be streamline and modern but still very approachable and comfortable to live in. I wish that it WAS my house!

Plato says:

The place is very astonishing, every corner of the house is remarkable. The garden has a huge space, you even put more flowers and design extra accessories. An exclusive house that every people dream of.
