A renovated attic in Romania

Posted on Mon, 27 May 2013 by midcenturyjo

This Bucharest attic space stayed unclaimed for many years until the owner put the project into the hands of Atelier and Jurnal de design interior. At only 50 sq m the sense of space is heightened by the angles of the ceilings and the wonderful light that floods the open plan areas. Exposed brick and the old beams provide contrast to the sleek white walls and polished floor boards. A modern space sitting comfortably in its historic shell.

The first step in any attic renovation is proper cleanup and insulation installation. This needs to be handled in a safe and non hazardous way.

Great job!
It's only 50sqm! I thought it was much larger.

Have a nice week. Here in Athens it's a full sunny day 🙂

Claudia says:

Though it looks great, i really believe this is a render in stead of a real refurbishment. What do you think?

KiM says:

the first 3 photos are renderings.
