Betsy says:
I would have liked to seen a semi-Voltaire (my fave) but Melanie Stewart will certainly do, do do!!!
With decors you have featured, I don't think any could top 'A Paris Apartment'. The proportions,
and balance and the sofa with the cat scratches on the ends, (if you look closely), they most certainly have a pet.
Well then, keep up the good work you two and here's to another year of brave, decorating adventure!
Sondra Sloane says:
The gratuitous use of the word "porn" always makes me cringe. Food porn, shoe porn, you-name-it-porn. I'm not a prude. The intensity of the misogyny in sexual pornography has drastically increased since the age of the internet. It's changed how young men relate to young women, especially on college campuses. Sexual pornography will never go away. The gratuitous use of the word "porn" could disappear tomorrow. Just my thoughts.
Betsy says:
Oh, nonsense! Miss Manners, you sound like a PC idiot!
Chairs are THE most important design element. They go back to our most primitive memories. The very first functional decorative element to be invented. Search museums, antiquities and study. Careers are made on chairs. Its quite right that they be labelled porn and their own category. Expand your loquaciousness.
I am a professional designer and I bookmark these. And that Stewart chair is not only expertly upholstered but is one hell of a hottie!
