An exuberant pied-à-terre

The makeover of this inner city Sydney pied-à-terre saw a nondescript apartment become a celebration of personality and charm. Too often inner city living is thought of in terms of slick finishes and sharp lines, hip and hard. Not here. It’s all about colour, pattern, a stunning harbour view and a whole lot of fun. I love how colorful it is! Not crazy about the forest wallpaper–those things were popular in the '70s, and I saw too many of them hanging on in the '80s and '90s.

Charming without being the least bit precious. Taste of France: I had the same reaction you had, but when I took a closer look I realized it forest wall-paper–Its a painting. I am sure if you are in the room there is no confusion.

The uneven seat height bugs me in the living area. Very artful way they hung those pictures in relation with the chair and ottoman.
