Common Bond Design – Bridgehampton

This Bridgehampton, NY farmhouse is the perfect summer getaway. Designed by Common Bond Design, you won’t find any karate chopped pillows here! It is a wonderfully eclectic mix of Scandinavian, nautical and classical styles. That dining room tho’ – the crystal chandelier/farmhouse table/gilded Louis XVI chair combo is something I have lusted over forever.

Beautiful, but seriously how creepy is that little kid sculpture/art piece in the living room??

Sandy says:

There are so many unpredictable elements to this house! How fun is that!

My thoughts exactly Bev65

Thank you for featuring us, Desire to Inspire. This project is near and dear to me because it's my childhood home! When my dad retired after years of years of long hours and travel to Latin America, my mom (and business partner) recruited me to streamline their circa 1880 shingle-style farmhouse. They wanted less maintenance and clutter, more openness, but in a way that still blended my mom's danish roots, our local artist friends' beach-inspired work, and my parents' collection of Latin American art, textiles and furniture, accumulated over the course of their lives together. This is the result!

Awwww, so amazing your folks still live in your childhood home Alex!
