Masculine chic by Anthony George

Posted on Thu, 31 Aug 2017 by KiM

Masculine chic is what Anthony George is calling this bedroom, and again I will take his word for it although I think I’d beg to differ. Perhaps it is because of the black and white colour palette. Again, call it whatever you would like, I will still love it for its dark and dramatic vibe. (Photos: Emily Johnston)

Another unique apartment by GCG Architectes

It appears I just can’t be stopped when it comes to the designs of GCG Architectes. This is another Paris apartment that has me all hot and bothered. Wonderfully unique use of colour and wallpaper that seems to be their trademark. And those chevron hardwood floors!! Photos: Robin Petillault

Still stalking

I’m stalking another of Melbourne’s Victorian era mansions, a confection of a house in the suburb of Coburg. Like yesterday’s house its interior has taken a modern turn while still retaining the romance of bygone times (design by Clare Cousins Architects) but whereas yesterday’s house was layer upon layer of greige this house is all about colour. “Expressions of interest” means I can’t afford it but perhaps you can. Link here while it lasts.

I am not exactly sure what is that dude-friendly about these spaces but that is what designer Anthony George is calling it, so ok then. Whatever you want to call it, I’m really loving this colour scheme. Rich colours that work well in summer and winter. (photos: Brittany Ambridge)

Modern and white by Angela Robinson

What a beautiful house this is!!! Modern and minimalist in architectural details, and so open and bright. Loving the drama the dark blue velvet sofa adds to the front sitting room and the pink club chair to the TV room. Fabulous style by Vancouver-based Angela Robinson
