Gardening in New York

As you walk along the man-made canyons of New York it pays to look up. You may just see a green tendril hanging down or glimpse a few tree tops waving in the wind. Even better if you’re high up in one of its buildings you may be teased by private green spaces below. I thought I’d share two such gardens by Brook Landscape, the first at the top of a disused fire escape in Soho and the other on a terrace in Midtown East.

Beautiful! Yes, New York is a city notoriously short on space. No space for plantation. Due to own willing power, few tried to create greenery around them in their own place. Good attempt.

Wow! You two have been busy! I’m sure you’ve had a ton of work getting this back up and running- thank you for the effort it must have taken. I’m sure it’s going to take a little time to figure out the new format, for me anyway, but looks great so far!

Gorgeous terrace post, also!

Thanks Axie. Just click on everything and you’ll figure it out but remember if it gets too confusing just go to the archives and go month by month and it will look a lot like the old blog. And don’t forget to check out the room buttons on the home page 😃
