Euro Trash

European glamour with its sparkly chandeliers, ornate gilded frames, carved wood furniture and stacks of old books is a style that always captivates me. Annie Brahler-Smith of Illinois-based design firm Euro Trash does this so very well. Rustic-luxe is such a beautiful thing.

I really love this style, more and more. It would have been considered beautiful 20 or 30 years ago and I bet it will be 20 or 30 years from now.
Also, these spaces don’t look “decorated” but “collected”–the result of individual taste and life experience rather than a designer or clicking to buy on a website.

Contrived. Overworked.
Hang those chandeliers higher.
