Colour is King

Terracotta and dirtied greens, salmon and persimmon, walls clad in shadowy bucolic wallpaper as backdrop to contemporary furniture that can only be classified as “statement”. With its bold rooms within old bones this Lyon residence by Claude Cartier puts all those monochromatic white upon white spaces I’ve been featuring lately to shame. If colour is king then long live the King!

I kept scrolling back and forth, up and down asking myself if I had all the money in the world, would I be as brave to sign off to the designer on all these colors with all these wallpapers and all this furniture? And I don’t think I would’ve okay’d it, which would’ve been a shame, because this place is stunning. Thank goodness I don’t have all the money in the world to lose sleep over color decisions such as these. Winky face.

I think the green/yellow and green- bluish combo /Winter Garden effect is a fav of mine is wonderful (second photo) highly sophiticated, and combining neutral wall covering and textiles even more interesting.
However, seating is only ONE level not enough height for me at least.
Or layers. And basically only one texture.
I’m nitpicky, though. I love to pik.
