An interior designer’s 19th century farm house in Sweden

I came across this incredible home the other day and fell in love. It is a 19th century farm house in Umeå, Sweden, and is home to designer Soraya Forsberg and her husband, 6 kids and 2 dogs. It is fabulously rustic and time-worn, and as you can tell from the photos is an ever-changing canvas. What a dream space! (Photos: Lina Östling via Sköna hem & Andy Liffner via Residence.

Blanders says:

From the last photo:

“Mommy, can I bring my BB-8 toy to the farm house?”

“That bright orange thing? Certainly not – you know how mommy feels about saturated colors. It’ll clash with my ruthlessly curated muted earth tones and washed-out pastels.”

“What about C3PO?”

“Metallic gold? That’s even worse! Who are you, Kim Kardashian? Absolutely not!”

“Well, what about Chewbacca?”

“Hmm.. browns… a little black… I suppose that’s doable… okay, I’ll make it work somehow.”

Misty Pesto says:

Hahaha! It made me laugh Blanders, thank you 🙂

Thelma says:

Hahaha spot on my friend!
Too.much.browns.ahem.earthy.tones………..

Beautiful aesthetic, however, I’m with Blanders. If I lived there, color would be popping out all over! ;o)
