Island dreams

Normally when I dream of an island getaway it involves palm trees, white sands and a Bali style pavilion or two. Today’s island dream is an old shipbuilder’s cabin on Vashon Island in Washington’s Puget Sound. Designers Hoedemaker Pfeiffer wove their magic over a year, gut-renovating and reinstating the history and personality of the house. An island dream indeed!

Looks like a real living (lived-in) thing, I love it!

Looks like real people live here–not a museum. I love it! Nothing I’d change. Love the colors, textures & fabrics.
