Matchpoint by Duet

Posted on Thu, 24 Nov 2022 by KiM

A renovated and modernized home in Ottawa

I tend to make comments about the lack of inspiration, creativity, attention to detail and being able to step outside the box when it comes to design and architecture in this lovely city of Ottawa in which I have resided for my entire existence. Congrats to Shean Architects (whose offices are coincidentally located in the ‘hood adjacent to mine) for creating this little piece of brilliance. (Photos: Doublespace Photography, and art in foyer is by a favourite artist of mine – Whitney Lewis-Smith and the dining room portrait is by Andrew Moncrief)

A twinkle of light at the end of the laneway as night draws in promises welcoming interiors, warm and cozy. The rooms in this stone cottage are layered with texture, colour and pattern bringing an effortless, elegant comfort to schemes. Gloucestershire by Olivine Design.

And for a bit more of Tamsin Johnson‘s gorgeous and unique home. What appears to be the lower level hangout space with lounge spaces, bar, pool, library, and the loveliest bathroom. Just when you thought it could not get any better….
