Michael Breland and Peter Harper of LA design firm Breland-Harper transformed their 1920s Spanish Revival home in Silver Lake into a minimal, Tuscan villa-style beauty. It had been previously renovated and stripped of much of its history and charm. They designed a large addition with includes a kitchen to gather and entertain, created a Moorish style courtyard garden, added terracotta brick flooring which keeps the home cool (I love this soooo much) and overall created a wonderfully serene, airy vibe. In the heart of Cremona, a few steps from the main monuments of the city, stands Palazzo Cattaneo, an elegant noble residence of extraordinary historical and artistic value. Built in the sixteenth century and acquired by the Cattaneo family in 1623, the building underwent a refined renovation in the eighteenth century. In addition to its cultural vocation, the palace offers 10 independent apartments, with 1, 2 or 3 rooms with kitchen.
Another home I cannot believe is real. The architectural details are absolutely exquisite. Maybe a bit over the top for a home but one can dream (of being a princess)…
For sale via Century 21 for €3,300,000.

The Ivy forms the principal section of a glorious Grade I-listed manor house in Chippenham, built in 1728 for the lawyer and local MP John Norris. It is a seldom-seen example of the high English baroque, set in four acres of gardens designed by award-winning garden designers Julian and Isabel Bannerman. The house has undergone an extensive and highly sensitive programme of restoration works in recent years and is now exceptionally well presented. Internal accommodation extends to over 5,500 sq ft with five bedrooms and a series of beautifully designed living spaces. Additionally, it has an outdoor heated swimming pool.
Between the baroque period architecture, the contemporary art collection, the mix of modern and antique furniture, and the breathtaking gardens, this home is my absolute dream! With a pool to boot!!! For sale via Inigo.

A really fun and fresh vibe in this home designed by LA-based design studio Proem. It is a mashup of contemporary and vintage, dark and light, with a youthful energy that isn’t taking things too seriously. I can get behind that. Photos: Madeline Tolle; Architect: Sutro Architects.

This was a full-scale renovation of a prewar Park Avenue co-op housed in a Georgian-style building originally designed by Emery Roth in 1916. The design brief for this dynamic young family was to interpret tradition through a fresh, spirited lens – classic with a playful edge. The interiors by designer Josh Greene strike a balance between contrast and harmony: light tones meet moody hues; modern silhouettes sit alongside antiques. Also, a tented dining room? Yes please!!!
