A colourful apartment in Spain

Posted on Wed, 22 Jan 2020 by KiM

As promised, here is another project by designer Marta de la Rica. This apartment is located in Cádiz, Spain and is full of colour, pattern and has a really lived in and summery feel. The outdoor space is gloriously lush. If I found this on Airbnb I’d book it in an instant.

Art deco vibes in a Spanish flat

Posted on Wed, 22 Jan 2020 by KiM

We have been fans of Madrid-based designer Marta de la Rica for many years and her projects never disappoint. I thought I would share a couple today, starting with this one, a flat in Salamanca, Spain. Her style is without a doubt eclectic and always filled with patterns and colours, but in this case there is an art deco feel that I’m really into.

An English Arts & Crafts home

Back at you with more from Nina Farmer and this 1904 Arts & Crafts home outside of Boston that thankfully has most or its original woodwork still intact (and looking mighty fine!). The problem was the kitchen had renovated previously and needed a serious makeover. Nina went art deco with it and the result is one of the most beautiful and unique kitchens I have ever seen.

A beach house on Martha’s Vineyard

Posted on Mon, 20 Jan 2020 by KiM

Boston-based designer Nina Farmer bought this 1950s single-story home set on its own private beach on Martha’s Vineyard, went against the grain and gave it some Moroccan touches, and then sold it. Beach vibes be damned! Unexpected is the way to go, always.
