Pink (and other colours) in an Oslo apartment

There’s nothing more that I love than creativity and uniqueness in interiors. It gets really tiring seeing the same thing over and over again (Instagram and Pinterest, I’m talking about you, and bohemian style specifically). I spotted this Olso apartment on The Cut and nearly had a stroke. Hello pink, green marble and brass kitchen of my dreams!!! This home could not be more one-of-a-kind. LOVE THAT. Modern rustic

Urbanology Designs took a modern, rustic approach to this home in Dallas, Texas and it creates such a casual, warm, and earthy feel. There are so many wonderful textures you almost don’t notice how neutral the colour scheme is.

There are a small handful of accounts on Instagram that I anxiously await new photos from, and Mexico-based interior decorator Dirk Jan Kinet is at the top of the list. His love of antiques and all things vintage (he has a shop in San Miguel de Allende that I am dying to visit but sadly it’s too far away from Puerto Vallarta where I go each winter and will be next month), his incredible talent at mixing bold colours and patterns always takes my breath away. Trust me when I say his account is a must-follow. Since it has been a while since I have featured his work (here and here), he kindly sent me over some pics and the rest I scoured the interwebs for (most from this article, photographed by Ana Hop). Enjoy!

A colourful Hell’s Kitchen penthouse

This project was a colour exploration for designer Nicole Watts. She was inspired by her client’s Indian heritage and wanted to do a modern twist on colour, without it being overwhelming. I think this was a huge success! Especially with that Kelly Wearstler Graffito fabric on the dining room wall!
