Hold the phone! It's a new angle! One that makes me want to style that little bookcase in to Instagram glory, but as its the only real bookcase it also has to house my emergency supplies of Scottish detective novels. Also known as "proof of reading" for the kindle addict I am. As a babysitting teen I was quite judgemental about houses with no books, and that has carried on to a mild paranoia of not having enough books in my house. Now I write this I think less "proof of reading" and more "proof of snob" and "proof of nosey teenager who should have brought something to read". . . . #thenewbohemians #theotherkemphouse #mycuratedaesthetic #mycovetedhome #interiormilk #myhomevibe #designsponge #thisiswhyihavetothriftshopeveryday #dtipetsonfurniture #nzhomeswithstyle #dshome #sassyhomestyle #myvintageabode #bohoismyjam #smmakelifebeautiful #ryarug #stellarspaces #howivintage #myhyggehome #dspets #colormyhome #pocketofmyhome #mycreativeinterior #spotlightonmyhome #cosyupyourworld #boldbohemians #sodomino #colourmyhome #eclecticstyle

I’ve been so busy lately I don’t have many cute cat pics since my last pets of furniture post but here’s a few I dug up from my latest phone archives. Lucky chilling out in the Tuft & Paw Indigo cat bed, and 2 from recent cat sandwich adorable action on our bed.

Sunday at the café

Posted on Sun, 16 Dec 2018 by KiM

Finished your Christmas shopping and baking and wondering how to spend your Sunday afternoon? How about relaxing in a pink booth with a coffee at Pastel Rita in Montréal’s neighbourhood of Mile End. Designed by Appareil Architecture, this 1500 sq ft space is home to a café, artisan workshop and boutique. The colour scheme of green, pink and yellow is so warm and energetic. I’ll have to check this place out next time I’m vintage shopping on St. Laurent.

A Montana ski house

Posted on Thu, 13 Dec 2018 by KiM

Some people enjoy the winter season and partake in activities like skiing. I on the other hand would prefer to spend my time bundled up in leggings and a big sweater, huddled under a blanket drinking tea next to a roaring fire. This beautiful house next to the ski mountains in Montana would be the perfect place to do that while wishing spring would arrive. Designed by Shawn Henderson.

BLACKBARN

Posted on Thu, 13 Dec 2018 by KiM

This is designer Mark Zeff‘s getaway in the Hamptons. He was inspired by the simple form and straightforward construction of farm buildings but by adding black to the exterior and some dark stained wood walls and concrete floors in the interior (among other things) it is decidedly modern. It’s sleek, understated, refined, and pretty much perfect.

A Greenwich Village row house

Posted on Tue, 11 Dec 2018 by KiM

This Greenwich Village row house has undergone major renovations (including a complete redesign of the façade) and is now sophisticated and has the most wonderful outdoor (and enclosed) spaces that anyone living in the West Village would be envious of. I love the use of glass bricks on the exterior walls to mimic all the brick on the surrounding buildings yet it allows light to flow through. By CWB Architects.
