This is one of the most unique lofts I think we have ever shared on the blog. And this one might be my favourite. Located on the entire third floor of a converted shoe factory (2850 sq ft) in Shoreditch, London, it features 30 original Crittall windows (dreamy!!!), green plaster walls and ceilings, handmade Moroccan Bejmat Zellij terracotta tiled floors, bespoke oak joinery, hand-woven linen shutters. It is absolutely stunning. Designed by the insanely talented Chan + Eayrs, and currently for sale via The Modern House.

Sunday at the café

Posted on Sun, 9 Dec 2018 by KiM

It is Sunday and you’re hungry, thirsty and have some work to do. If you’re in downtown Montréal you can head to Café Parvis on Rue Mayor and enjoy what looks like some really incredible foods, drinks and bring your laptop because they have a workspace area so you can be productive too! I love the casual, earthy vibe of this place, designed by Atelier Zébulon Perron.

More from Ricardo de la Torre

Posted on Fri, 7 Dec 2018 by KiM

Since I am crushing on the work of Madrid-based designer Ricardo de la Torre I thought I would share a random assortment of other projects of his, including some commercial spaces. That space above though – WOW! I’m also mesmerized by the last 2 spaces (from the VIP area of Summa, the Contemporary Art Fair of Madrid).

An eclectic modern home in Madrid

Posted on Fri, 7 Dec 2018 by KiM

Sharing another simple, white space in Madrid because simple can be so good. This 250 m² home is in the Salamanca neighbourhood and was designed by Ricardo de la Torre. It has a cool, eclectic vibe with some mid-century and rustic elements that make it homey. I’m really digging all of the lighting here.

A renovated 60’s apartment in São Paulo

This 110 m² apartment in São Paulo, Brazil was built in the 60’s and needed a revived, modern life. Pascali Semerdjian Architects opened up the living room by removing the kitchen, service entrance and a bedroom, and it now includes a library, media area and is open to the dining room and new kitchen. Tons of new storage has been added, and some exposed brick and peeling walls remind the owners of its history. I REALLY love how they separated the kitchen space by carrying the tile all the way around.  the tall

This house designed by Pascali Semerdjian Architects is pretty sweet too!
