What I would do to be able to hire an architecture firm as talented as Dan Gayfer Design to design me a dream house. Like this one. Somewhat inspired by American Ranch style architecture with its picture windows, gabled rooflines and far-reaching single storey floor plan, the buildings careful orientation encompasses 180 degrees of views whilst protecting the exterior living spaces from prevailing winds that can sweep across the property. The views are part of the design and its aesthetic; they are not borrowed but practically stolen from the surrounding landscape to become part of the interior. This is Ceres House. If you love the colour blue, then this Georgian four story townhome in Holland Park by London-based architecture and interior design firm Studio Indigo is for you. Multiple shades of blue can be found in just about every room of this home. I love that they’ve maintained many of the original details in this home during renovations and have updated it to be current and functional. And as not a big fan of blue, I may now be converted. 🙂

A couple from me of course! First up, as I sat down to get this post ready, my husband alerted me to this action on the sofa. Lucky is hysterical when he’s sleeping. This shot was my favourite, after taking many and he finally woke up. Then you’ve got the 2 lovebirds, Frankie cuddling with his buddy Felix. It’s a king sized bed yet Frankie has to mash up against him.

Talk about an ideal combination! A 1960’s modernist home with exposed brick and beautiful warm wood with a Scandinavian vibe with lots of white and natural tones. Sweet jeezus yes!!! Available as a location home via Shoot Factory.

It has been a while since I shared a project by New York City interior designer Matthew Caughy. The first time it was a beachy, country vibe and now it’s contemporary and timeless where art plays a major role in this Madison Square Park apartment. Gorgeous!
