From its traditional facade all the way up those stairs to the colourful attic room this house is the perfect balancing act. Farmhouse yet modern living, the crisp bite of white and the deep moody greys, parent and kid friendly. Casually elegant, not at all stuffy. It’s fresh and fun and perfect for a young family. Modern farmhouse in Connecticut by New York based interior designers Chango & Co.

Where you expect a chandelier to be hanging in every single room. Traditional, classical, ornate, fancy schmancy, by British designer Robert Kime. (I need to find a huge sparkly chandelier for my dressing room – I am especially desperate for one now with this post).

Florida interior designer Andrew Howard can convert anyone into a bold colours and pattern-mixing lover with his charming and whimsical projects. This project is captivating with it’s main scheme of blue and that kitchen is a dream (my favourite tile!). So fun!

Our sweet cat Nero napping in Edinburgh, Scotland. We just got him from a rescue centre and found out he has chronic kidney disease. Not with us for a long time but we’ll make sure it’s a good time.

I found Lummi 10 years ago on an island by the same name in the pacific north west. Maisie was found roaming alone in downtown Chicago where we live and moved in last year 🙂

Description: Obviously, it’s Monday Morning. 🙂

Mondays are all about wondering where the weekend went, all about pressing the snooze button over and over until you’re late, all about surreptitiously sipping on a takeaway coffee cup on the train to work. Mondays are all about dreaming of endless days at the seaside, of the perfect beach house. Blue and white and washed out neutrals, rattan and driftwood and sand and green glass. Mondays are about working for the man so that maybe one day your dream house will look just like this one by Blackband Design.
