We have been featuring the work of decorator and stylist Sera Hersham-Loftus (Sera of London) since this blog began, and we have been a huge fan of Sera’s all of these years. She emailed the other day wondering if we would like to feature her work – LOL – we have, and we will again! (She’s so nice by the way!) She has always had a boudoir boho chic look to her spaces and her originality and quirkiness sets her apart from every single other decorator/designer out there. Here are some recent photos we have not shared here yet, including what may be one my favourite kitchens ever (which happens to have hanging in it one of my favourite light fixtures ever – the Viscontea by Flos). And head over to my page to check our some of Sera’s new line of lamps, cushions and furniture!
(Side note: Monday’s pets on furniture will hopefully return next week. Submission can be sent to kim[at]desiretoinspire[dot]net or hashtag your photos with #dtipetsonfurniture)

Take an ancient stone farmhouse in Tuscany – add some subtle modern additions then furnish it with some art deco style furniture with accents of brass and some glamorous glass light fixtures. What you end up with is one of the dreamiest homes I have ever seen. Via Bo Bedre, photos by Monica Spezia.

I love when the real estate market starts to heat up after the holiday break. More houses listed and a greater chance of hitting the design jackpot. If you are a regular reader you will know I have a thing for older houses in inner city suburbs and if they have an architect designed modern extension out back then even better. I’m stalking in Paddington, Sydney and I think it might be love. Exposed old brick, glass transition between heritage and new, slick open-plan living areas with a great connection between in and out. There’s even a car lift and I don’t know why that excites me but it does. With Sydney house prices we’ll never afford it but it’s all about the stalking and the gawking. Link here while it lasts.

Before the weekend begins I wanted to share a little peek into this project again by Twofold LA. Located in Venice Beach, it has a Cali-boho vibe featuring a gorgeous shibori wallpaper and of course a little bit of glam with the blue velvet with nail-head detail sofa. The fabulous patterns continue in the kitchen with a bold graphic backsplash tile. SO FUN!

It has been too long since we featured the designs of Jenn Pablo and Olivia Korenberg of interiors and events firm Twofold LA. They are still rocking spaces with their super casual and cozy yet super stylish approach. Always bright and fresh with textures and subtle elements of bling. Beautiful! (Previous features can be found here and here).
