I want to stamp my little foot. I want to roll my eyes and hold my breath. I want to whine and whinge and say it isn’t fair. I WANT this warehouse apartment. NEED this warehouse apartment. LOVE this warehouse apartment. Damn you! I can’t afford the estimated $1.2 million price tag for this one bedroom apartment in my favourite inner city Sydney suburb of Redfern. (Go the Bunnies!) Severe case of stalking envy. Link here while it lasts.
A contemporary upgrade to a Sydney Harbour apartment by Stacey Kouros Design. A limited palette of neutrals with a touch of blue and black is the perfect foil to the stunning water views and striking art collection. The result is an unstuffy sophistication, a liveable luxury.
Oh I do love an English kitchen. The wooden cabinets, in this case with a bold navy finish, the pantry cupboard, a big stove with a mantle. I love the amazing light flooding through the windows in this particular example and we don’t need to mention the floors. It’s not the first time I’ve had my head turned by Blakes London (you can see more posts here) and I’m sure it won’t be the last.
What do you get when you ignore all those seaside clichés? You get a thoroughly modern take on the Australian beach house. Relaxed yet stylish. Casual yet sophisticated. Macmasters Beach House by Arent & Pyke.

The renovation and extension of this Beverley Hills home included the incorporation of elements from a dismantled 19th century wood barn as well as a new entrance and landscaping. The old beams and siding add warmth to the expansive rooms. I love the marriage of the new build with the old barn wood, the mid century feel of the furnishings working back against the aged timbers and white walls and the beautiful dry climate garden.
