I’m stalking a “little” country getaway in the old gold rush town of Kyneton just outside Melbourne. A “simple shack” surrounded by manicured gardens. Another house that I’d love to see in real life. I’m sure it would be stunning if the photos were more magazine worthy, less wide angle real estate. Copper bath tubs, Edwardian era frills of fretwork and stained glass, wide plank floors and a picket fence. Link here while it lasts.

We’re in Camperdown, an inner western suburb of Sydney, thanks to one of my fellow stalking addicts who shared this link. Just down the road from the University of Sydney this modern “terrace house” couldn’t be described as student digs. No it’s more rustic meets sculptural meets industrial meets million dollar price tag. I would love to see this place in real life. I think the photos, especially of the upstairs bedrooms, don’t quite do it justice. Link here while it lasts.

I love a shop with soul. Nothing cookie cutter. Personality and pizzazz. Just like this menswear store designed by Sydney-based Josephine Hurley Architecture.

Imagine an old tumble-down stone barn near Todi in Umbria, Italy. Imagine it fully rebuilt, stylishly furnished and waiting for you to come visit. Two suites, “Love” and “Passion”, private garden, pool, olive grove, slow tourism. Locanda di Doris is the beautiful B&B created by Doris Sochaczewski and Valentino Fialdini. She’s Brazilian with European soul and he’s half Italian half Brazilian. Both are artists, stylists, food and wine lovers and trend watchers. No wonder the inn is so fabulous. I’m ready to book my flight. Trouble is I don’t think I’d want to leave.
