Inside Out is out

Posted on Tue, 23 Apr 2013 by midcenturyjo

I love it when an email from Inside Out magazine is waiting in my inbox. Not only do I get to chat with Lee Tran Lam, managing editor, but she sends me big, juicy images from the latest issue to share with you. And they are gorgeous, big, juicy pictures this month.

The home belongs to Romy Sormann and her family. Romy collaborated with her brother, Jamie Sormann of Foong + Sormann, on the Melbourne renovation. The story is styled by Rachel Vigor and photographed by Derek Swalwell. The new May/June Inside Out is out on Wednesday. Run, don’t walk into your local newsagents and grab your copy if you aren’t already a subscriber. Don’t fret if you aren’t in Australia though because you can read along on Zinio, Google Play and the Apple Newsstand!

P.S. The cover is Brisbane stylist Kara Rosenlund‘s beautiful home. Can’t wait to see more!

Dark boy

Dark and moody. The room, not the teenage boy I can see dumping piles of clothes in the corner and stayying up late into the night by the glow of a computer screen. By Sydney based Designers In The City.

Casa Bramasole

“If less is more then this is a lot.” Welcome to Casa Bramasole, a little piece of Scandinavian living mixed with rustic Italian in Umbria. A true fairytale – a beautiful historic building rising from the ruins. You’ll find me on this Monday morning taking coffee on the terrace sleepily drinking in the spectacular view of the Lago Trasinemo below. Might take a dip later. What a place to take an imaginary break on the first work day of the week!
