Love this ecelctic apartment I found on casa.com.br. The white backdrop for the funky furnishings and bright doses of colour is perfection. And FUN!
…when I wanted to dive through my monitor and experience the photos we feature, now would be the ultimate. Absolutely beautiful. Via Nicolas Schuybroek Architects.
Could you live in 28 square metre apartment? I don’t think I could. Where would I put all my stuff? I’m such a hoarder. But I’m always fascinated by clever spatial solutions to living small. A puzzle box of an apartment in Madrid, Spain by Beriot Bernardini Arquitectos.
With some clever rearranging of the layout and a high end finish the design team at London based Daniel Hopwood have transformed this apartment into an entertainer’s dream. By moving the kitchen from the back into the double height open plan reception area the owners’ now have the perfect stage for regaling their guests. A small, intimate library takes the kitchen’s former space, perfect for TV viewing as well as reading. A rich, masculine bedroom, mezzanine office and stream lined bathroom complete the picture. Clever and compact, stylish and sleek.
Let’s talk about the elephant. Not the usual elephant “in” the room, the one “outside” the room. That view. OMG! I’d live in a broom cupboard if it had that view. Fortunately this Point Piper, Sydney apartment I found on one of my stalking safaris is larger than a broom cupboard and almost as simply stunning as the view. No gaudy competition. Simple, elegant, restrained and likely more than most of us can afford. Link here while it lasts.
