JoannesLucas Studio

Posted on Thu, 8 Jan 2015 by KiM

Hold on to your hats folks. Welcome to the wacky and totally eclectic world of Joannes Van Laer and Lucas Schelkens, where colour and glam are always on the menu. Classic antiques mix with faux furs, sparkly chandeliers and wild patterns. These men are VERY brave.

(love the paint splattered chair!!!)

A modern interpretation of life in an inner city terrace. Crisp and white with theatrical flourishes and calm private zones. Stylish simplicity and sunshine. Sunshine. You’ll never know dear how much I love you. I’m stalking in Paddington, Sydney. Link here while it lasts.

Stalking on a Saturday

Posted on Sat, 11 Oct 2014 by midcenturyjo

I have a small band of readers who share my addiction to real estate stalking and send me links. You know who you are ladies! I hope I haven’t created a monster though. Apparently this stalker can actually see this building from her desk. Is the virtual becoming the actual? Just kidding. On to the apartment. Love it. The art, the views, even how it has been shot for the campaign. Stalking in Surry Hills, Sydney. Link here while it lasts.

The Darling Point Pad

Posted on Sat, 9 Aug 2014 by midcenturyjo

With its decadent mix of contemporary and traditional, deep, dark, dramatic colours balanced by calming white and stunning Sydney Harbour views this over the top Darling Point apartment spans the top floor of a 1930’s grand home. One moment over the top, the next calming and restful. With a hectic work weekend ahead of me this is my virtual escape. I need to spoil myself. You can too. The Darling Point Pad is part of the Contemporary Hotels group.

Art grouping

Another way to add drama with art – a grouping of prints. When hung in a grid the impact is POW!
