Heriot Row in Edinburgh is a beautiful family home that dates back to the 1800’s. HZI were commissioned to renovate this historic five story property whilst retaining its heritage. With a combination of architectural and interior design, HZI remodelled the house giving this family of six more space by developing a basement extension. The bedrooms, three reception rooms, dining room, kitchen, gym and bathrooms were all updated, adding interest and character through architectural detailing, custom joinery, specialist plasterwork, furniture and fixtures.

Intentional is the first word that came to mind when I spotted this new project in Dawes Point, NSW by Duet. It is fairly minimal and each piece is so sculptural and unique, and overall this home has such a sophisticated vibe. This also may be one of the most beautiful kitchens I have ever seen….which is crazy coming from me since I haaaaate white kitchens. It’s the perfect mix of rustic farmhouse and modern. I love a sneak peek into a designer’s personal space. It’s like peering into their design zeitgeist. Thomas Geerlings of Dutch interior architecture and design firm Framework has created a home that is carefully curated with treasures and memories. With its sense of individual style and some amazing furniture pieces colour plays a huge part in the joy these family spaces bring.
