I love the classic, vintage and timeless feels of this Greenville, South Carolina home designed by Taylor Hill. Playing with the balance of new, old, eclectic and traditional was the name of the game with this project. As a new construction residence in the heart of a historic Greenville neighborhood, the client wanted to be sure their home maintained a cohesive look and feel to its surroundings. We carried this theme from the exterior and throughout the house by blending vibrant textiles and wallpaper, heirloom antiques, contemporary art, and thoughtful architectural details to create a dynamic aesthetic.

I had to share another project designed by Mandy Graham because I am officially smitten. This one is a wonderful example of how to highlight a quirky art collection without providing distractions. And another example of her magical ways with kitchen design.

High intensity colours and patterns can be found throughout this San Juan, Puerto Rico condo designed by Stewart Rodriguez. From the moment you step out of the elevator you know you are in for a treat. The fashion editorial photograph of the glass encased model sets the tone of what’s behind the main door. Bold colors and art are the inspiration for this interior designer’s home. Fearless to kelly green walls that wrap the living room and dining room allow for the eclectic furniture pieces to come alive. The combination of a pink chair with the yellow sofa show how strong colors palettes can work perfectly in a space. The dining room is a stunning blend of modern with old romanticism. The “Study for ‘La Grande Jatte’, by Georges Seurat, 1884-5” in the National Gallery and the amazing fashion editorial piece of Alice in Wonderland by a Barcelona fashion photographer create a dining room to remember. The master bedroom chinoiserie wallpaper with the bold patterns on the upholstered bed make a bold move look peaceful and chic. This home is a great testament of living surrounded by the things you love…

Aside from my initial horror that this Upper West Side townhouse probably had exquisite woodwork in a former life before it was all painted out white, this home is classically beautiful and thoughtfully curated. Designed for an exacting art-collecting couple, this historic Upper West Side townhouse is all about form and light. The primary directive from the clients was to create a gallery-like space that would showcase their ever-expanding and diverse collection of art and design; Gachot sought to deliver while making a space that was human, textured, and liveable.

This Northern California estate looks like from the outside it may have been transported from Mexico? South of France? Portugal? and once you walk inside you’re then whisked away to a castle in England? a Caribbean villa? Whatever this is it’s exquisitely eclectic and overflowing with personality.
