Anne Hepfer update

Posted on Mon, 2 Mar 2020 by KiM

It has been several years since we featured the work of Toronto-based designer Anne Hepfer (here and here). Her signature style of layering palettes of colour and contrast and luxurious finishes is still very much apparent. Such gorgeous spaces.

Modern minimalism in a London home

Posted on Sun, 23 Feb 2020 by KiM

This modern home in London is an absolute gem, with one of my dream features – a central courtyard (complete with 2 story plant wall!), that even includes a footbridge to join the entrance to the sitting room at the rear. The home’s structure is perfect for displaying art and mid century furnishings in a minimalist, gallery-esque way. Available as a location home via Shoot Factory.

Modern antique

The brief was “English rocker retires to the countryside and revamps a farmhouse”. A home built in the 1760s get a new lease on life from Havilande Whitcomb Design who brought in some bright colours, modern art and graphic patterns. Love how current and energetic this feels.

An update on Kierszbaum Intérieurs

Posted on Thu, 13 Feb 2020 by KiM

Back in 2016 Jo had featured a couple of projects (here and here) by Paris design firm Kierszbaum Intérieurs, and what she noted about this firm still stands 100% true. Eclectic in style, exuberant in taste, fun and fab meets OTT, it is like a magpie collection of trinkets and treasures. EXACTLY! It’s such a unique mélange of colours and styles. This is a random and fabulous assortment from their portfolio.

Art deco meets arts and crafts

Posted on Thu, 30 Jan 2020 by KiM

More liveable glamour by the talented Lisa Gilmore, but this time it is art deco mixed with arts and crafts. William Morris wallpaper pairs with Frank Lloyd Wright fabric in the study. Some leopard print chairs add some extra ZING in the living room. Random – just how I like my interiors.
