To Hollywood power couple Ruben Fleischer and Holly Shakoor Fleischer’s 10,000 square feet Tudor Revival home in Montclair, New Jersey—which was built in 1908 and had previously served as a designer showhouse—we added a sense of cohesion, stripping out some newer elements that had been added over the years, to focus on the building’s original details. We lightened up the formal living room with sculptural furniture, like an asymmetrical velvet-covered boomerang sofa atop a shaggy patchwork Moroccan rug. In the dining room, we resurfaced the fireplace surround with custom watery-blue glazed tile, painted the original woodwork deep midnight blue, and added floral wallpaper that played off the Kehinde Wiley painting that we hung in the room. Then, because the family loves playing together, we created a video arcade for their vintage machines, an art-making room, and a Lego-building room, in addition to his-and-hers offices.
Studio DB did so right by this house. I cannot praise them enough for maintaining some of the original architectural details which look soooo incredible juxtaposed against the modern design scheme. Overlooking Sydney’s Manly Harbour, Delwood House has been reimagined as a calm and enduring retreat. Larissa Leigh Interiors shaped the interiors with a gentle hand, layering light, colour and materiality with restraint. Original elements, including arched thresholds, timber detailing and stained glass, provided architectural rhythm, while curated furnishings introduced presence and ease. The design avoids excess, offering instead a quiet, timeless interior defined by softness, resonance and lasting comfort.

Welcome to the wacky and absolutely beautiful home of artists of Philip and Charlotte Colbert created by Buchanan Studio and Chris Dyson Architects who concocted this masterpiece from five dilapidated brick terrace homes. In New Canaan, New York, US-born, London-based decorator Joyce Sitterly redesigned a Greek Revival house for a family eager for bold ideas. The single-level home features an expansive kitchen with a generous farm table and a living room layered with British-accented style. Combining custom-made furniture with antiques, the interiors embrace individuality and drama. Patterns, textures and theatrical touches create a chic yet comfortable atmosphere that avoids convention in favor of character and originality.

Boronkay Studio have transformed this Victorian villa in leafy Richmond into a layered family home that balances grandeur with intimacy. Guided by a philosophy of blending tradition and innovation, the studio reimagined the property to reflect both its architectural elegance and the family’s multicultural background. The interiors weave vintage Italian and French pieces with bespoke furniture and collected artworks, creating a deeply personal narrative. Bold colors, subtle textures, and expressive detailing converge to shape a soulful, timeless home.
