This spacious Louisiana lake house by TIEK BYDAY was designed as a welcoming haven for an extended family, comfortably sleeping 32 across ten bedrooms and nine bathrooms. Rooted in traditional Acadian architecture, the home features generous communal areas, a large kitchen and a refined bar, all oriented toward lake-view porches for easy indoor-outdoor living. Thoughtfully layered with cozy nooks, alcove beds and deep seating, the design balances grandeur with warmth, making it perfect for gathering, relaxing and entertaining.

Molly Kidd Studio creates homes that are both luxurious and livable, grounded in creativity and everyday comfort. Their Bay Area project is a refined new build that showcases natural materials, layered textiles and curated vintage furnishings. Thoughtful design shines in every detail, from a custom wine cabinet to a fully integrated kitchen, breakfast nook, pantry, mudroom and laundry. Each space feels personal and inviting, reflecting a story told through craftsmanship, materiality and timeless design.

This very large and very stunning historic Beaux Arts estate was originally designed and built by Philip Trammell Shutze in the 1930s, and was revitalized for a young family with deep Italian roots. The homeowners undertook a respectful renovation with designer Tammy Connor and architect Stan Dixon. The team preserved the spirit of Shutze’s design while reconfiguring rooms, restoring a previous addition, and converting the attic into a children’s living space. Drawing from the owner’s ancestral homes in Italy, Connor incorporated meaningful heirlooms such as master drawings and an 18th-century chinoiserie screen. This redesigned Chicago home sits within a protected historic district, requiring Annarya Design to work within preservation guidelines. The result is a masterful balance of heritage and charm, where original architectural features were honoured and thoughtfully integrated into a fresh, livable aesthetic. The home’s vintage character remains front and center: the original fireplaces anchor key rooms with their undeniable sense of history. The staircase, a focal point in the entry, was carefully restored including missing sections replaced.
